The Art and Craft of Statesmanship

This course explores the art and craft of statesmanship. It is a hands-on course that explores how an academic idea is translated into a policy proposal. Students will work in teams learning the skills needed to move from abstract idea to political proposal. They will do background research, write a white paper report, and draft speeches that communicate a policy proposal to the general public. 3 hrs. sem.
