Ideas and Cultures of Spain

In this course we will analyze the major sociopolitical and cultural elements in representative Spanish texts from the Middle Ages to the present. We will discuss literary, historical, and political texts, works of art, and films that illustrate cultural elements that bear upon the formation of present day Spanish culture and civilization.
