HIST 1037A
Making History Digital Methods
Making History: An Introduction to Digital Humanities Methods
In this course students will explore how new digital sources and methods have transformed scholars' access to and understanding of historical sources and stories about the past. Students will collaborate to start the Middlebury 1927 Project, finding and digitizing all the information we can find in the college archives about the Middlebury Class of 1927. Our shared goal is to explore both the lives of the Middlebury students of the past and how digital technologies offer new ways to "make" history. No digital/web experience required. (Not open to students who have completed HIST 0100.)
