Leadership: Building a Decision-Making Framework for Life

College was the goal. Time is passing quickly. How will you prepare for the future? In this course students will develop a decision-making framework for life by exploring their core values and aspirations, crafting a personal narrative, and identifying longer-term goals. We will discuss key components of effective leadership and build a leadership toolkit that includes goal setting, risk assessment, storytelling, active listening, and asking powerful questions. Reading assignments – from Aristotle to Drucker – and writing assignments will complement class discussions, interactive exercises, oral presentations, and interview practice. Guest speakers will participate and share their leadership stories, insights and lessons learned.
