Brazilian Literature of the Immigrant



This course emphasizes the representation of the immigrant on Brazilian literature. Under a political, historical, and cultural dimension, the course examines diverse contemporary literary texts, which were shaped by the notion of immigration and citizenship from Arab, Italians, Japanese, among other authors.

Authors analyzed: Milton Hatoum, Ana Miranda, Nélida Piñon, Zélia Gatai, Raduan Nassar, Alcântara Machado, José Clemente, Frida Meyer, among others./
