Professional Communication: Written and Oral Strategies



This course is designed to expose students to the conventions of business and professional communication in Spanish. Communicating clearly and comfortably in both oral and written formats is a valuable and essential skill for any professional career. This course will give students the opportunity to develop and strengthen skills in preparing and presenting public oral presentations in professional and academic settings, as well as practice patterns of professional communication to deliver clear and effective writing messages. Students will learn basic theories and principles on communication, and will gain practical experience delivering different types of speeches and texts. Students will also develop their ability to target communications for a specific reader/audience and sharpen their skills in critical listening as well as reading and writing.
