Grammar in Written Context

Students at the Upper Immediate level should demonstrate an increased ability to communicate with attention to the appropriate style, organization and planning, as well as an increased accuracy of grammar syntax and spelling. In this course, students will improve their writing within the context of grammar. Namely, they will learn to improve their abilities to produce different types of texts (argumentative, descriptive, narrative, and explicative), while working on the strengthening of grammar concepts. Authentic texts from a rich variety of sources (literary and journalistic) will be used at the starting point for the illustration and explanation of key areas of French grammar. By the end of this course, students should be able to produce a coherent text that will highlight not only their writing abilities, but also their mastery of the French grammar at the Upper Intermediate level.
