Oral Strategies for Professional Communication



Communicating clearly and comfortably in public is a valuable and essential skill for any professional career. This course will give students the opportunity to develop oral proficiency and public speaking skills to deliver oral presentations and to communicate effectively in professional and academic settings. Students will learn basic theories and principles on communication and will gain practical experience delivering different types of speeches and texts. Students will enhance fluency, speaking and listening skills through the exploration of culturally relevant topics, and will also reflect on issues related to intercultural competence and to pragmatic and sociolinguistics aspects of communication in different professional settings. (1 unit)
