<strong>Gender and Genre in Southern Cone Narratives</strong><br />

This course explores the definition of minor genders and its structural models from the perspective of gender studies. We will analyze the main elements of popular narrative such as gothic, fantasy, science fiction and detective novels through the theory elaborated by Latin American writers. We will read a wide range of texts (short stories, chronicles, essays, and novels) that includes representative works from Argentina, Uruguay and Chile. (1 unit)<br />
