Foundations of Political Economy

In this course we read and engage some of the canonical texts in economics, including Adam Smith’s Wealth of Nations, Karl Marx’s Capital, Alfred Marshall’s Principles, and John Maynard Keynes’ General Theory. These texts respectively form the foundations of the classical, Marxian, neoclassical, and Keynesian schools of political economy. (ECON 0250 or ECON 0255, or their equivalent)
