International Health Policy & Law
Health care is one of the most challenging issues in today's world. In this course we will explore how health law and policy compares across countries and within the United States, including what pressing issues are prevalent within these systems. We will discuss and debate types of government health systems across the globe, including how countries provide health insurance coverage, how they compare on health care spending and quality, and how the international public health system is organized. Students will engage in the topics through debates and interactive exercises and will complete a group project highlighting one country or state’s system.
