CSI Middlebury: True Crime and Forensic Science

In this course we will investigate the science behind common true crime forensics and explore their use and accuracy in popular media. We will pay particular attention to crime scene investigation analysis techniques, and the underlying chemical approaches that enable them. In addition to the science itself, we will read and watch media in the "true crime" genre to better understand how these techniques are represented compared to their actual use.
