Career Design Strategies
Whether you’re just starting along your career trajectory or a mid-career professional, focusing on your “career design” is an essential component of your graduate school experience. Our Career Design Strategies course synthesizes your academic and professional goals, preparing you for future internship and job opportunities. Together we will identify personal strengths, build a professional image, and master effective job search strategies.
Over three sessions, we will work with you to explore, expand, and clarify your professional vision. You will begin by asking yourself: Reflecting upon my strengths, goals, and passion, how should I build my professional image or personal brand? How can I strategize my job search to align with my long-term goals? How can I effectively communicate my strengths through a resume, cover letter, and in networking opportunities?
While the course is recommended for first semester students, students in any semester are welcome. Alumni may also participate! Students will register for this course before the beginning of the semester. No tuition is charged for this non-credit course, but a small materials fee will apply.
