Written and Sight Translation of Medical Texts is an introduction to a variety of documents used in the health care setting. It will provide tools and techniques for translating medical texts that vary in complexity based on the target audience and type of texts. Examples of documents may include patient education material, medical device instructions, and patient medical records. Students will use the knowledge and terms for body parts, systems, diseases, procedures and medications acquired in the Medical Concepts course. Translations will be done in both directions (E>S and S>E).
