Environmental Writing
Over the course of two weekend workshops, we will cover the most important elements of environmental storytelling, including ethical interview processes, inclusive practices, and the blending of emotional and rational perspectives in order to promote the efficacy of a piece. We will read best in class examples of science and observation-based work. Students will create their own work based on immersive experiences. We will focus on how to transmit the enthusiasm and expertise from experience-based learning to storytelling that reaches the general public.
