This course introduces students to the core ideas and practical skills of using visuals to communicate complex data and concepts. Specifically, students will learn how to transform complex datasets into clear, compelling visual narratives that support analysis, communication, and decision-making. The class covers basic design principles, visual storytelling, interactive displays, and common challenges such as clutter, bias, and misleading visuals. Through hands-on projects, students will practice creating visualizations that communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
