Teaching Practices in the Second Language Class Room

The teacher’s act is characterized by planning learning goals, teaching content, resources, and activities, and so on; but it is also adjusted during the class in light of what is happening in the classroom. Organized around readings of texts and analysis of classroom practices, this course proposes to train students in classroom management. This will lead us to explore questions of:

- Time and space management

- Multimodal resources in teaching: body, voice and materials

- Negotiation of meaning in pedagogical interaction

- Teacher’s scaffolding

How can we prepare to handle all these issues in our teaching practice in classroom? The course will be interactive and will integrate teaching student’s experiences.
