Teaching the Whole Classroom
This course prepares secondary modern language teachers to set up the conditions for effective learning both on an individual student level and in group learning settings with the class as a whole. Special focus is placed on differentiating instruction for learners in accordance with state laws, education policies, and research-based practices. Dimensions of learner differentiation covered include diverse home backgrounds, learning needs and goals, learning disabilities and differences, and culturally-shaped ways of being.
