Technology in Planning for the Secondary World Language Classroom

This course prepares secondary modern language teachers to effectively integrate age-appropriate technology use into lesson plans, unit plans, and course-level design in secondary school settings. Several models for planning instruction will be presented alongside frameworks for evaluating various instructional technologies. Students will analyze different technologies through the lenses of learning affordances, linguistic and cultural authenticity, ethics and privacy, logistical considerations, and institutional constraints.
