Sociopragmatics And Developing Interpersonal Communication Skills In Second Language

This course aims to explore the French language, not as a linguistic system but based on its uses in social contexts. The goal is to introduce students to the sociopragmatic approach to language in order to reflect on the development of interactional skills in second language teaching. Using scientific texts, official language learning texts, examples of authentic interactions, and teaching resources for French as a foreign language, we will prepare students to design activities and lesson plans aimed at developing learners' ability to interact in a variety of social situations.
