    10 February - 16 February

I'll introduce the course and talk about how we'll work with writing. It's important that each of you read the Prologue, The Triumph of Death (11-60), by Thursday's class, 2/16.
During our first class, we'll begin a writing assignment that will continue through Thursday (2/16) and will be due, in class, 2/21.  We will spend 2/21 and 2/23 working on this piece in class.  The final piece will be due 2/28.
Here are some resources that you should look at BEFORE reading the Prologue; this information will help you place what you're reading into context:
    • Baseball
    • Short Heard 'Round the World
    • Russ Hodges
    • J Edgar Hoover
    • Frank Sinatra
