Current Economic Issues in the US

In this course, we will examine the most current economic issues in the United States through both theoretical and empirical analysis. We will explore topics including inflation, labor markets, income distribution, housing, fiscal and monetary policy, and the role of the United States in the global economy. Through engagement and discussion of current data, academic articles, and policy literature, we will investigate both macroeconomic and microeconomic theoretical predictions of each issue and explore how the empirical reality compares.
