Practical Use of Social Media
Depending on where you look, social media can be both over-hyped and viewed with skepticism for its business value. In this workshop, Jay Badenhope, Senior Marketing Manager at Intuit, will look past shiny objects by guiding participants on how to devise practical strategies and tactics to help real businesses and organizations achieve success in social networks. Mr. Badenhope will share general principles, actual examples from his work, and collaborate with students on aligning social media goals, metrics, and tactics. Students will consult with businesses and organizations to prepare a social media plan, create actual content or experiences based on that plan, share what they produce on social networks, and present the results to classmates and representatives from client organizations at the end of the workshop.
