AI-AssistedT&IQualityAssessmnt
This MA-level course, AI-Assisted Quality Assessment (AIQA) for Chinese-English T&I, provides an advanced exploration of how artificial intelligence is redefining the evaluation of linguistic and interpretive outputs. Designed for postgraduate students, the curriculum shifts away from traditional teacher-led assessments toward a self-paced, project-based learning model. Students will master the use of Large Language Models (LLMs) and automated metrics to critically analyze their own performance across four core domains: written translation, sight translation, consecutive interpreting, and simultaneous interpreting.
The course culminates in a personalized capstone project, where each student develops a customized AIQA framework to evaluate their Chinese-English T&I growth. By integrating human-in-the-loop (HITL) strategies with cutting-edge AI tools, students will learn to navigate the ethical and technical complexities of automated feedback in a professional context.
